When it gets to the busy end of the year, it's always a good time to take a breather and gather your energy! So how does deep rest and relaxation sound, with supportive acupuncture?

This workshop will allows busy city peeps to find their rhythm with nature again, and wrap up in a restorative and gentle practice.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, each season is associated with particular organs, and in Spring (the time of fresh growth and life) we pay particular attention to the Wood Element (Liver and Gallbladder meridians). Harness the seasonal energy and set yourself up for the end of year!

What you'll get:

  • 2.5 hours of one-on-one attention and yin yoga in an intimate venue, tailored to the Spring season.
  • Sara, a fully accredited and practicing acupuncturist, will be using super-fine acupuncture pins to help the body nourish and be free. The points we are going to use are mostly located around the lower legs, wrists and head (or ears with ear seeds if you don’t want pins!).

Believe it or not, just 2 hours south of Sydney at Berry, there exists heaven.

Seriously. And we're going there! Want to come?

SIMPLE is a country yoga retreat happening this August, and it's 2 nights away where we'll practice Yoga. Bodywork. Breathwork. We'll eat love-filled food. And move gently. We'll sleep in a beautifully cosy restored farmhouse. And practice in our own private yoga shala.

Unwind on 160 acres of lush farmland and picturesque creek frontage, as we make things SIMPLE again this Winter.

Open for all levels, this retreat includes:

- 2 nights luxury country accomodation
- All hand-crafted, wholefood meals lovingly catered across the weekend – you don’t need to think about anything! (2 dinners & desserts (Fri and Sat), 2 breakfasts (Sat and Sun), a hearty lunch (Sat), plus plenty of snacks, treats, chais and drinks)

The personalised mentoring program for yoga teachers with a 200hour training under their belt runs over 2 weekends this March and April, with one of Sydney’s leading yoga teachers, Stella. A senior teacher at EOTU, with over a dozen trainings under her own belt, Stella will be offering teachers of all levels guidance, advice and practical inspiration to take the next step in their professional teaching careers.

The training is capped to limited spaces so every student within the group will be able to ask individual questions, receive tailored guidance, and get the most out of our time together.

It's a new year, and so a divine time to set a clear inspired path. This month in all public classes we'll be exploring the art of devotion to our self, to our healing, to our open hearts. It's gentle inner work.

Yin Yoga is beautifully simple yet transformative practice that acts as an antidote to a busy life. Most of my huge shifts on the mat have come from yin yoga - and I'm excited to theme the month of January's Yin classes in alignment with this simple slow practice.

On it’s own, Yin Yoga is a restorative, recharging and super chilled practice (in contrast to the active yang flow yoga) that targets meridians, fascia and tissue. Pair Yin with a Full Moon and it’s an amazing chance to manifest and create, at a time of great potency!

There’s a reason that so much healing goes on around full moon cycles (those goddess circles know where it's at!). During the time of the Full Moon we see things as they are - theres on more hiding! The veils are lifted, we are in full light and potential is abundant.

Join us in this 2.5 hour masterclass, where we’ll start with gentle movement to ground us, meditation techniques to settle us, and then dive into divine yin poses to help us open, let go and step up.

We’ll explore the Lung + Large Intestine meridians as we give ourselves permission to be who we are, where we are, all wrapped up in the teachings of self compassion.

Nourish Talks

Nourish Talks are meaningful events about nature, lifestyle, wellbeing, and community, designed to uplift in a world that can seem heavy at times. The talks get at tough issues, in gentle and uplifting ways, to make change feel like an exciting opportunity, not an impossible burden.

Nourish Talks raise funds for programs that enrich the lives of refugees and asylum seekers, young mums, people experiencing mental health issues, those sleeping rough, and anyone who might benefit from some soil on their hands or some food in their bellies.

They're part of the family of social outreach projects in Kings Cross, Sydney that includes a rooftop kitchen garden, the Inside Out Organic Soup Kitchen, TwoGood Soups, GROW horticultural therapy and the Young Mums Cooking Program.

In this two hour window you will have a chance to discuss details of a pose you can’t seem to crack, the breathing in a certain pose, look at mastering an arm balance or simply figure out where your feet go in a particular yoga pose.

This time will be spent going through the questions you have. You also may like to come and listen to what other students are enquiring about. It is an opportunity to have focused attention from Stella, one of our most senior teachers, in a relaxed and fun environment and will be beneficial for new students and seasoned practitioners alike.

40 Day Revolution

Calling all Revolutionaries!

From Monday 18th January 2016 for 6 weeks in total here's the chance to begin a complete transformation!

Together at Yogatime we will explore Baron Baptiste’s book 40 Days to Personal Revolution, an epic resource for transformation. Over the 40 days, you will have the opportunity to create a whole new way of being and living, alongside a collective of like-minded and equally inspiring individuals.

What’s involved?

Joining the revolution means that you will

  • Practice 5 yoga classes a week at Yogatime, with one day of home practice, and one day of rest.
  • Practice in goal-setting, journaling and self-reflection. 2 daily meditation practices, beginning with just 5 minutes in the morning and 5 in the evening.
  • Naturopath, Yogatime teacher and remedial massage therapist, Chrissie Alexander will guide you through the best techniques and advice on how to safely (and happily) detoxify your body to reduce stress, midnight nibbling, change life-time habits and ultimately, see the 40 day revolution as a new way of life!
  • Dietary reccomendations to help you cleanse your body. This involving a 3-day fruit & veggie juice cleanse during week 4 of the challenge, at an additional cost.
  • Weekly meetings, held by Stella Chambers at Yogatime, at 7.30pm every Tuesday to keep you on track and connect with other students on the Revolution. There will be a ‘triumphant’ wrap up on the final day to acknowledge the efforts of those involved.
